- It’s important to stay on top of cleaning. It’ll help you avoid damage to the property, which will not only maximise your deposit return, but will also make your home a much nicer, more enjoyable place to live.
Damaging the Property:
Accidents can happen from time to time and it’s important that you let us know if any damage does occur. You may be liable for damage caused, but it’s far better for everybody if you tell us and work with us to resolve it, rather than trying to hide it until it comes to the end of your tenancy.
Reporting Emergencies & Maintenance Issues:
If an emergency does occur, like a fire, burst pipe or burglary, let us know as soon as possible via our emergency contact numbers provided. For general maintenance issues, send us an email so that we can log your problem and organise any work that needs to be done.
Some maintenance required may fall under the category of ‘tenant responsibility’. This includes changing lightbulbs, defrosting fridge freezers and unblocking drains/plugs of hair or waste. We are happy to guide you through any of the steps you’re unsure of and can recommend contractors to carry out work when required.
Conducting all necessary gas and electrical safety checks.
Making sure all drains, heating and water supplies are in good working order.
Maintaining the structure and exterior of the property.
- Please keep in mind that repairs can often take time. Contractors may be unavailable and parts may need to be ordered. If 2C Properties are your managing agent, we look to update you throughout the process, and always carry out an assessment when any work is completed.
